Phase: Warm Up

Each student in the class will have a volleyball for themselves. Students must throw the volleyball up in the air and continuously hit it using the body part they think would be most effective (do not tell students what is the right/wrong bodypart - let them figure this out), counting each hit as a point. If the volleyball touches the ground, students must start a new round and begin from zero. Students will try and keep a track of their highest score before the time is up. The student in the class that made the most amount of hits before the volleyball hit the ground will be the winner.

NOTE: students do not add ALL their scores together, they just remember their highest score.

Modifications

Can add in 1 or 2 players that will go around trying to hit students volleyballs in mid air reducing the amount of points players can get.

Special Needs Modifications

Use of balloons so that it stays in the air longer allowing them more time to prepare for their next hit.
