One partner throws the ball up to themselves letting it bounce before setting the ball high to their partner. To set, students must hit the ball making contact with their forearm and a closed fist facing upwards. Get the students to focus on hitting the ball nice and high so it bounces up high enough for their partner to attack it if they were an attacker. Pairs will carry on doing this back and forward.
Children will be divided into pairs and positioned along both sides of a net (e.g. a pair of children on one side of the net and another pair of children opposite them on the other side). One child will stand in front of the net and set the ball for their partner to attack (“spike” the ball with a closed fist). The pair on the other side will retrieve the ball and replicate what has been done by the first pair; set and attack the ball back over the net. Pairs take turns and alternate between attacking and setting the ball.
Students are split into teams, with 5 players on each team, playing an actual game of Fistball. The game starts with a serve from behind the service line and ends when a team scores a point. A team can scores a point by; the other team touching the net, the other team hitting the ball outside of court, the ball landing on the opponents side twice in a row, the ball going under the net, or the ball touching somewhere on the opponent that is not their arm or closed fist.
