Work on ability to pass the ball over greater distances while maintaining accuracy. W on the ball when passing and catching.

With a partner start facing each other about two steps apart.
Pass the ball to your partner if they catch it they can take a step back. Your partner then passes it back if you catch it you get to take a step back. If the ball is dropped the person who drops it takes a step forward.
Progression:
- Can use bounce pass, chest pass or overhead pass.
- Make it a reflex challenge by one partner facing backward. The thrower yells "turn", in which their partner turns and must catch it. The catcher doesn't know if it's going to be a bounce, chest or overhead pass so must react quickly. This is more appropriate for older students to avoid injury by getting hit with the ball.
Use smaller balls for smaller kids
