Warm Up

Fistball Challenge

Using a closed fist and forearm the person has to hit the ball in the air and keep it off the ground for as long as they can.

Progressions:

- Can make a left or right hand rule only. 

- Can introduce partner passing where they have to see how many passes/hits they can get between them without the ball hitting the ground. 

- Can place a cone down a short distance away and see if they can make it to that cone whilst hitting the ball up in the air. If ball is dropped, they go back to start and try again. Can be done as a relay race between small groups. 

- Introduce one bounce rule if hitting it up without hitting the ground is too hard for younger kids. 

Modifications

If you don’t have a fistball can try using another ball. Can use a balloon to make it easier.
