Have the group sat down after creating a large cirlce. Start with the coach/ref by saying "I'm going on holiday and I'm going to take a toothbrush". Students in the group must figure out (problem/riddle solving) as to why that item is correct and can be taken on holiday. The next player sat beside the coach/ref will then proceed to ask if an item they can take on holiday is correct/incorrect - the coach/ref will either respond with "yes/no". Play keeps moving around the cirlce (clockwise or anti-clockwise) so everyone gets a turn either trying to figure out the riddle (while they are waiting for their turn) or asking if their item can be taken on holiday with them or not. Once play reaches the start point (the coach/ref) a second round will commence allowing players that have solved the riddle to prove themselves that their next attempt is right. It will also allow others another chance to try and figure it out.
RULES:
- Players are not allowed to reveal the riddle to others sat around/near them
- No one is allowed to call out, everyone must wait in silence and pay attention as what is said from the group can be helpful
RIDDLES:
- Apple --> Elephant --> Top --> Pillow --> Water --> ....
- "x" amount of vowels (2-3, more will increase the difficulty).
