Run the Gauntlet

Divide the group into two even teams. Stand one team along the longest line of the court (the side line) with three arrows each and called "archers". The other team will line up in the corner on the opposite side called the "runners" (single file). At the far end from the runners, place cones (roughly 5-10 depending on group sizes) which will act as treasure for them to collect. On "go" the first player in the runners team will run to the far end, collect one piece of treasure and run back to their team without the archers hitting them. If done successfully the next runner will have their turn and repeat the process. Once all arrows have been shot, count up the treasure collected and swap roles. Which ever team manages to collect the most treasure will be declared winners.

RULES:

- A runner can duck, dodge, jump, weave/zig-zag but run roughly along the side line (can alternatively make a 'channel' of cones 2-4metre wide acting as a boundary they must stay within).
- If a player gets hit, they must return to their team and join the back of the line
- If a player gets hit whilst carrying a piece of treasure back to their team, it must be placed down on the ground where they got hit and re-join their team and go to the back of the line.
- Only one player can run at a time
- Archers can not move any closer to the runners and must stay on the side line
