Catch ball with pinky's/ thumbs crossed, move hands with the ball (soft hands)
Throwing; lead arm pointing towards target, start ball at ear finish with throwing arm beside lead arm.
Create two parallel rows/lines of spots (blue/red/yellow/green) and have students pair up facing each other standing on their spot. Each pair will recieve a tennis ball and will throw back and fourth to each other. Every time the ball is caught, the person that caught it will take one big step away from their spot (starting point). Every time the tennis ball is dropped, the player that dropped it must take one big step closer to their spot (stat point).
Use a larger or smaller ball to change the difficulty of the activity. Place students into groups of 3 or 4 if there isn't enough equipment available.
Set up a field with a half way line. Half of the class on either side of the half way line with all the balls on half way. On go both teams can run up to the half way line. The aim is to get as many balls into the other teams half as possible by over arm throwing them. Students cannot run with the ball so they must throw it from where they collect it. However if a student catches a ball thrown by the opposition on the full they can take five steps forward before they throw it. The team with the least balls at the end wins.
Can introduce if the ball is caught on the full with one hand they can take 10 steps before throwing it.
