All children are labelled one of four/five colors, for example, 3-4 students will be pink, 3-4 students will be yellow, 3-4 students will be blue etc etc). Colors are evenly distributed.
Children are seated on chairs in a circle, facing inward. One player does not start sitting, and instead starts in the middle of the circle, standing - they are the 'leader'.
The leader must call out a color, everyone who is that color (as well as the leader) stands up, and races to fill a empty seat. The last person (the person without a seat), is now the leader and gets a turn at picking a color to move.
Note: if no chairs are available, spots or cones can be placed down to sit on or infront of., or the circle can sit on the ground (close to each other to ensure no gaps or confusion).
Alternatives: Instead of colors, coaches can assign animals, numbers, shapes etc.
