Phase: Activities

Have students pair up with someone in the class and explain that they must get each other off the ground without the use of their hands to do so - only using each others body weight. This activity is best played on a soft surface (grassy area/field) to minimise injury.

PROGRESSIONS:

- increase the size of groups, start with 3 and continually add one more to the group.
- try the whole class as one group at the end of the session
- have players start in different positions; sitting, laying on back, laying on tummy, laying on side, kneeling etc
- introduce an elimination round where the slowest pair for each round is out of the game and must observe the rest of the class until there are only two remaining pairs left at the end.
- blindfold students within their pairs if they are finding it too easy, this will increase the difficulty and test communication skills, team work plus coordination
