This activity is best played on a court (can play on grass or inside too and use cones to mark out a definded playing area) where you can use the halfway line to divide two even teams (bibs vs non bibs). Each team will select a "jedi" - this player will be stood on a base roughly in the centre of their teams playing half (tyre/spots/circle of cones) and act as a team rescuer. Both teams will throw dodgeballs at each other, aiming below the waist. If a student is hit, they must sit down where the dodgeball made contact with them. The jedi can now leave their base and with the use of their light sabre (foam noodle) can resue team mates by tapping them on the shoulder so they can re-enter the game and continue playing. If a jedi is hit before they make it back to base, they must sit down and means nobody from their team can be rescued. Once all players on a team are sat down, they have lost and the team with players still standing are declared the winners.

ADDITIONAL RULES:

- jedi's can save as many team mates as they like at a time
- limit the amount of time a jedi can spend on their base
- players can NOT block with hands however if they catch a dodgeball without it bouncing, they player that threw it must sit down.
- players can block a dodgeball if they are holding one and deflect the throw
-  nobody is allowed to cross the centre line and stay on their own side
- players are allowed to run out of bounds briefly to grab dodgeballs
- no other players are allowed on/in the jedi's base

MODIFICATIONS:

- remove the base from the jedi so there is no safety for them
- remove the light sabre (foam noodle) so now jedis have to get closer to rescue team mates
- make the playing area smaller
